"When I was 5, I was the kid who"
had her own
unsecret admirer.
Always he'd insist
to sit next to me
in snack or crafts
and stand by me in line.
He wanted to hold my hand
and be more than a friend
but all I really wanted
was to punch him.
Great poem! The line at the end is the best, in my mind. It just makes the entire piece humorous and refreshing.
ReplyDeleteThis poem made me laugh. I like the concept of an UNsecret admirer. The ending was very effective.
